COMPUTER SCIENCE EDUCATION WEEK IS AN ANNUAL CALL TO ACTION TO INSPIRE K-12 STUDENTS TO LEARN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ADVOCATE FOR EQUITY, AND CELEBRATE THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND PARTNERS TO THE FIELD. |

8th Grade- Intro to JS: Drawing & Animation
|
Students worked on JS computer programming skills by completing different challenges like drawing with code, learning how to code more shapes, and coloring with code. As a final project students had to pick to either create a super snowman, self-portrait, or wild animal. Take a look at their final projects to the right --->

3D Printing at KG!!!
|
Polar 3D was founded in 2013 by William Steele and Ed Estes. The headquarters are in Cincinnati, Ohio. Their main focus is helping educators teach, students learn, and entrepreneurs flourish. With the help and support from many families at Kelvin Grove, companies, and others who graciously donated, we are excited to announce Kelvin Grove got its very own 3D printer in 2016. Students now have the opportunity to explore how to design in 3D using Tinkercad. Their designs will then come to life by printing them using the Polar 3D printer.
